FROM "COWBOY & THE SAILOR

On this page are shown some of the scenes from the AMG movie, "Cowboy and the Sailor" which stars Joe Leitel as the cowboy and Bob Saputo as the sailor. Sailor Bob is on his way to meet his girl when his car develops engine trouble. Cowboy Joe happens along and offers his services (photo MD), but he doesnt know much about cars so they decide to change clothes so that Bob can fix the car and not get his own uniform dirty. While they have each others clothes on (photo MK) they mimic each other, box around and have fun, but realizing time is flying by, Bob gets under the car (ME) and gets it fixed. But he has gotten his upper body so dirty (MM) that he realizes he cannot go on to his date in this condition. Joe offers to take him to the ranch house to clean up so they mount Joe's horse (MW and MQ). At the ranch house, Joe helps Bob get the dirt off (MY and NB.) Cowboy and Sailor runs approximately 150 feet black & white, costs $12. (8mm $8.) 4x5 stills are 35 cents each, 8x10s $1.50 each. 2 catalogs of other stills from this movie, 30 cents.

WRITE A MOVIE AND WIN A FREE FILM OF IT. We need lots of ideas to work into film stories, so we would appreciate your help. No need to be too elaborate but give sufficient instructions to turn your idea into an interesting little movie (without the use of sound). "Cowboy" is a little weak on plot, though it has a good strong, nostalgic type theme. Try to get both in your stories. Even if

you cant write out a complete movie, send along any basic ideas your might have. Express your preferences and interests. Suggest any way we might make our films interesting and effective.

"VISIT FROM A COUSIN" is just a still photo production and is not available in movie form.

This is the story of two cousins who havent seen each other in several years. Bob has been away in the navy, Wayne is a bodybuilder at a local gymnasium. The boys try to make dates on the phone, but failing to have any luck play records and dance til late in the night. Bob has to get back to ship early the next morning, and Wayne has a devil of a time getting him to get up, but at last succeeds. They cook breakfast and Bob goes on his way. Such a story as this is quite lacking in momentous plot-but would it be worthy for a movie? Let us have your reactions. All the photos shown here and one other besides in 4x5 dbl-wt paper stock $5. Catalogs to be available as part of XN13 series after Nov 1958.
